Hermanas Josefinas celebrating 150th anniversary with joy and thanksgiving

With thanksgiving and joy the Congregation of the Hermanas Josefinas are celebrating their 150th anniversary of foundation. The Hermanas Josefinas have served in the archdiocese for more than 100 years and ministered at St. John’s and Assumption Seminary for 60 years, supporting and caring for seminarians.

About seven years ago the Sisters completed their service at Assumption Seminary. They continue their presence and mission in San Antonio through the ministry of prayer for priests and seminarians and for persons and groups who request prayerful support.

The Sisters are involved in parish ministry in two local parishes and promote the formation of women. They remain faithful to their vocation and mission as Mary and Joseph with Jesus.

Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS, celebrated a special Mass for the Sisters and their supporters on September 22 at St. Paul Church, which featured several priest concelebrants.
